Johnny Dollar was "America's fabulous freelance insurance investigator," the "man with the action-packed expense account."  He was always ready to fly to far corners of the country for a cut of recovered goods.  He had an analytical mind, a nose for trouble, and the brawn to take care of himself when the going got dirty.  He often worked for "Universal Adjustment Bureau," a clearing house for all client companies, under assignment from Universal's Pat McCracken.  The assignment might be to recover stolen diamonds, art or furs; to investigate arson; to play bodyguard to a wealthy client, insured to the hilt, whose life had been threatened.  Inevitably, all led to murder.  The series ran from December 8, 1948 to September 30, 1962 in several incarnations.  Dick Powell (audition), Charles Russell, Edmond O'Brien, John Lund, Gerald Mohr (audition), Bob Bailey, Bob Readick and Mandel Kramer all played Johnny Dollar at different times in the show's history.  The episodes presented here are from the show's 5 day-a-week serial incarnation that ran from October 3, 1955 to November 2, 1956 on CBS and starred Bob Bailey as Johnny Dollar.

NOTE: Due to a server crash recently at SaveFile.com, these files are currently unavailable.
I have been very busy with my new Disc Jockey company and with production of new episodes of
The Glowing Dial of late and have not had time to upload these files once again.
SaveFile.com does not have batch uploading so all the files have to be uploaded one-at-a-time.
This is very time consuming so please be patient and I will try to get the files back up as I have spare
time to do so.  I apologize for any inconvenience.

All serialized episodes of Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar can be downloaded here.

NOTE: The new file storage system we are using deletes files (episodes) automatically if they sit on the server for 30 days without a download.  This is beyond our control and we have no realistic way of keeping up with checking on this.  So, we ask you, our loyal listeners to inform us if you find a file (episode) missing.  Upon receiving such a notice, we will upload the episode to the server in as timely a fashion as we are able.

ALSO: Please do your best to not be a "bandwidth hog".  We ask that you limit your downloads to a "reasonable" amount per day.  Please do not use "download managers" either.  Although we have unlimited storage space and unlimited bandwidth at our current storage location, we do not wish to "abuse" this privilege and "crash" or "severely limit" their server.  Remember, there are many others who want to download these files as badly as you do so please give them a fair chance too.
